Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, research, and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, offering ambulatory, inpatient, and community-based services.

Position: Ward Clerk (Part-Time, Permanent)

Location: Sandringham Hospital

Details:

  • 32 hours per fortnight, 2 x 8-hour shifts per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
  • Salary package: $30k - $34k + Superannuation
About the Role

Our ward clerks are vital team members working across surgical areas, G3 Ward and Day Procedure Centre. Responsibilities include managing communication, supporting nurses, patient services, admissions, discharges, and clerical duties.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate ward and patient communication
  • High personal standards and ability to deliver timely outcomes
  • Proficiency with iPM and common software applications
  • Excellent customer service skills with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong communication and computer skills
