THE ROLE

We are seeking experienced Electricians / Instrument Technicians to join our team at Ora Banda Mining.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform planned maintenance and inspections on fixed plant and site infrastructure daily.
2. Inspect and test electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards and defects.
3. Assist in developing maintenance plans and planning shutdowns.
4. Provide electrical services for unplanned maintenance and breakdowns.
5. Undertake fault finding and corrective actions.
6. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, standards, and statutory requirements.
7. Maintain high plant and equipment availability.
8. Support maintenance planning with accurate work orders and reports.
9. Coordinate with supply personnel on electrical purchasing and stock management.
10. Work with processing and metallurgy teams to optimize equipment performance.
11. Maintain workshop, facilities, and equipment in good condition.
12. Mentor and supervise junior maintenance and trades personnel.
13. Attend to breakdowns and call outs as needed.
14. Ensure equipment is maintained within manufacturer specifications.
15. Complete electrical logbooks.

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• WA Electrical Workers Licence - A Grade
• Dual Electrical Trades and Instrument Technician qualification (highly regarded)
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar fixed plant role within mining
• Good knowledge of electrical legislation and standards
• Strong instrumentation skills including calibration and maintenance of control systems
• Understanding of electrical schematics, isolation, and permitting systems
• Experience with electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation maintenance
• High-level fault finding skills
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and manage risks
• High Voltage Switching Certificate
• Computer literacy, Pronto experience preferred
• Relevant industry certificates (High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift, WAH, Confined Spaces)
• Current "C" Class WA Driver's License
