Regulatory Oversight

Ø Provide strategic direction and oversight for regulatory compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, and other relevant statutes governing corporate affairs in India.

Ø Stay abreast of regulatory developments and emerging trends, and ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes.

Policy Development

Ø Contribute to the formulation and review of policies, rules, and regulations governing company registration, corporate governance, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Ø Ensure that policies are aligned with national priorities, international best practices, and stakeholder interests.

Compliance Management

Ø Oversee the registration, monitoring, and compliance of companies with statutory requirements, including the filing of financial statements, annual returns, and other regulatory disclosures.

Ø Develop and implement systems and processes to enhance compliance effectiveness and streamline regulatory procedures.

Corporate Governance

Ø Promote and monitor adherence to corporate governance standards, including the conduct of board meetings, maintenance of statutory registers, and disclosure of information to stakeholders.

Ø Provide guidance and support to companies on corporate governance practices and compliance obligations.

Enforcement Actions

Ø Initiate and oversee investigations into instances of non-compliance, fraud, or malpractice by companies, and take appropriate enforcement actions in accordance with regulatory powers.

Ø Collaborate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure swift and effective enforcement of regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

Ø Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, legal professionals, and corporate entities.

Ø Represent the ROC in meetings, conferences, and forums to discuss regulatory issues, share best practices, and address stakeholder concerns.

Capacity Building

Ø Develop and implement training programs and workshops to enhance the understanding of regulatory requirements and promote a culture of compliance among ROC staff and stakeholders.

Ø Foster continuous learning and professional development opportunities to build expertise in regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

Required Skills

Ø Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience in managing teams, driving organizational change, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.

Ø Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Companies Act, 2013, and other relevant statutes governing corporate affairs in India.

Ø Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the corporate sector, regulatory environment, and business practices in India is essential for success in this role.Seniority level
