  Lifeline Australia is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, establish to support the development of national suicide prevention services and Lifeline centres throughout Australia.
  
  Lifeline Australia Ltd (LLA) is located in Sydney, with small teams of dedicated staff employed to lead funding and corporate relations activities, and to provide the design, technical infrastructure and governance services across Lifeline's member network.
  
  LLA recently embarked on an exciting transformation journey, guided by an ambitious strategic plan. The 2024-2027 Strategic Plan will see enhancements across services, technology and workforce to bring about better outcomes and a more accessible and flexible support system for help-seekers.
  
  About The Role
  
  As a Learning Designer, you'll apply sound instructional design principles and pedagogical best practices to create high-quality eLearning resources. You'll work with contemporary technologies, online platforms, and collaborative learning environments to deliver programs that are accessible, effective, and aligned with Lifeline's mission.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deliver Learning Solutions- Provide expert advice on learning design, delivery modalities, and instructional approaches. Lead the development of engaging training modules and artefacts, including eLearning content, assessments, scripts, and teaching tools. Ensure all outputs align with adult learning principles, course outcomes, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and Improve Learning Impact - Design and implement pre- and post-learning evaluation tools to measure effectiveness and refine learning solutions. Ensure assessments are aligned with learning objectives and demonstrate knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate and Influence Stakeholders - Work closely with subject matter experts, the L&D and Practice teams, and other stakeholders to ensure learning artefacts are cohesive, accurate, and aligned with learner needs and organisational priorities—particularly in crisis support contexts.
  • Build Capability and Support Delivery - Support staff development initiatives to build online teaching capacity and promote effective use of educational technologies. Assist the Learning & Development Manager in meeting delivery targets in a fast-paced environment.
    
    
  About You
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360 (especially Rise and Storyline) and learning management systems such as Moodle
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts to co-design learning solutions
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate learning effectiveness and apply insights
  • Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with web design best practices and tools such as InDesign (desirable)
