Maternal and Child Health Nurse
Part time, (0.8FTE) Fixed Term 12-month position. Continue your professional journey with our highly valued maternal and child health service. Salary: $122,167 - $131,577 (pro rata) per annum plus Super.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Maternal & Child Health Nurse to continue your professional journey with our experienced and cohesive team of MCH Nurses on a fixed term part-time basis.
Responsibilities- Promoting healthy outcomes for children and their families.
- Providing a comprehensive and focused approach to managing the physical, emotional, or social factors affecting families in contemporary communities.
- Providing opportunities for social interaction of the parent and child.
- Providing families with timely, accurate and relevant information and resources to assist them achieve and maintain maximum health potential.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health.
- Commitment to family centred practice within an integrated early years' service model.
- Awareness of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics and promotion of maternal wellbeing.
- Familiarity with MCH & immunisation programs across Boroondara.
- Demonstrated awareness of smalltalk, Parent Child Mother Goose and Circle of Security programs.
- Able to use computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, icope and CDIS.
- Registered General Division 1 Nurse & Midwife with AHPRA registration.
- A post graduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health Nursing.
- Immunisation qualification preferred.
- Ability to work independently, and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to family centered practice within an integrated early years' service model.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health.
- Aware of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics & promotion of maternal well being.
- High levels of written and oral communication skills.
- Conversant with relevant health promotion issues.
