• As Manager - Governance and Frameworks, you'll lead our Governance Group to enable the enterprise to fulfil its risk obligations and drive governance excellence.
• Enable our vision to be the best workers' compensation insurer while making a positive difference to people's lives through robust governance frameworks and risk-aware decision-making.
• Lead the governance and second line functions, Board and committee support, corporate insurance programs, and comprehensive risk management strategies that ensure compliance and integrity.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on operational and strategic matters while fostering relationships across the enterprise.
• Drive performance through structured frameworks, expert advisory services, and comprehensive Board support as the governance leader for the Risk Group.
• Lead the second line governance and frameworks function to embed risk-aware decision-making and governance excellence.
• Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and risk management strategies ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Design delivery standards, service levels, and risk reporting to enhance performance monitoring.
• Manage Board, Risk and Audit Committee and People Committee calendars, preparations, and paper collation.
• Lead the corporate insurance program for WorkCover ensuring comprehensive coverage and value.
• Compile and present governance-related data and insights for Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Risk and Audit Committee reporting.
• Act as trusted advisor to Risk Senior Leadership Team on operational and strategic matters.
• Support Company Secretary in providing Directors and Executive Leaders with essential information and structure.
• Drive transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within established governance frameworks.

• Seasoned governance professional with extensive experience in financial services, personal injury insurance, and/or legal sectors, with deep understanding of commercial, industrial, and political considerations.
• Led high-performing governance teams with strong focus on policies, frameworks, and Board effectiveness, bringing structure and excellence to complex governance environments.
• Confident engaging Executive Leadership Teams and Board members, preparing clear and concise reports suitable for senior stakeholders and building trusted advisory relationships.
• Proven track record collaborating and influencing across enterprises to drive business outcomes, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Navigate complex regulatory environments with confidence, analyse long-term trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies for sustained business growth.
• Committed to governance excellence. Foster high-performance cultures where teams deliver against ambitious governance standards while maintaining compliance and integrity.

• Tertiary qualification in business, risk, law or similar discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).
• Current professional body membership (Risk Management Association, Risk Management Institute of Australia, or Governance Institute of Australia).
• Extensive experience across personal injury insurance, financial services and/or legal sectors highly desirable.
