Overview
As Manager – Governance and Frameworks, you'll lead our Governance Group to enable the enterprise to fulfil its risk obligations and drive governance excellence.
You'll enable our vision to be the best workers' compensation insurer while making a positive difference to people's lives through robust governance frameworks and risk-aware decision-making.
Responsibilities

Leading the second line governance and frameworks function to embed risk-aware decision-making and governance excellence
Developing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, and risk management strategies ensuring regulatory compliance
Design delivery standards, service levels, & risk reporting to enhance performance monitoring
Manage Board, Risk and Audit Committee and People Committee calendars, preparations, and paper collation
Lead the corporate insurance program ensuring comprehensive coverage & value
Compile and present governance-related data and insights for Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Risk and Audit Committee reporting
Support Company Secretary in providing Directors and Executive Leaders with essential information and structure
Drive transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within established governance frameworks

A bit about you

Extensive experience in financial services, personal injury insurance, and/or legal sectors, with deep understanding of commercial, industrial, and political considerations.
Led high-performing governance teams with strong focus on policies, frameworks, and Board effectiveness, bringing structure and excellence to complex governance environments.
Confident engaging Executive Leadership Teams and Board members, preparing clear and concise reports suitable for senior stakeholders and building trusted advisory relationships.
Proven track record collaborating and influencing across enterprises to drive business outcomes, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Navigate complex regulatory environments with confidence, analyse long-term trends, & translate insights into actionable strategies for sustained business growth.

Foster high-performance cultures where teams deliver against ambitious governance standards while maintaining compliance and integrity.
Essential qualifications include tertiary qualification in business, risk, law or similar discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded) and current professional body membership (Risk Management Association, Risk Management Institute of Australia, or Governance Institute of Australia).
