Job Description

Would you enjoy spending time with someone over a quiet cup of tea and a friendly chat?

An elderly lady living in her own home in Bonnyrogg is looking for a warm, reliable volunteer to visit her regularly. She enjoys simple pleasures—reminiscing and chatting about life, watching her favourite shows and having a coffee.

Your company and conversation would mean the world to her. Even a 30 minute visit weekly or fortnightly can make a real difference to her day.

Sometimes, the simplest visits leave the biggest impact.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care VolunteerVisitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established topromote links between elderly people and volunteers in their localcommunity.

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
•

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the weekfor 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday,visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
