We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilledMarket Gardenerto join our team. As a Market Gardener, you will be responsible for the cultivation of a variety of crops for sale at local markets and to local businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate, plant, and harvest a variety of crops using sustainable and organic farming practices
  • Monitor crop growth and health, identifying and managing pests and diseases as necessary
  • Coordinate and manage planting schedules to ensure a steady supply of fresh produce
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools
  • Prepare produce for market, including washing, packing, and labeling
  • Manage inventory and pricing for market sales
  • Maintain and build relationships with customers and vendors
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in market gardening or a related field
  • Knowledge of sustainable and organic farming practices
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment and tools
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
