Overview

Colac Otway Shire Council are seeking to recruit a Multipurpose Officer/Plant Operator to join our Services and Operations team in Colac in a Permanent Full-Time capacity.

As a member of the Services and Operations team you will carry out allocated tasks on Council's roads, bridges and road reserves, as well as Council-owned and managed land, with an emphasis on safety, quality and budget requirements to meet corporate values and standards.

This position is based at the Colac depot.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in manual/outdoor work activities
  • Experience in road construction/maintenance works
  • Basic written communication skills
  • OH&S Construction Induction Card/White Card (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Current manual drivers licence
  • Truck and civil machinery tickets and experience would be advantageous
  • Display a positive attitude and respect when dealing with employees and customers
Salary

Salary Information: $64,129.10 to $67,823.63 per annum including industry allowance plus superannuation
