About us

NLS is NSW's number-one provider of sports coaches for schools, clubs, OSHC, and Councils.

We have positions all over Brisbane & surrounding suburbs.

We are looking for Martial Arts coaches to join our team in various disciplines such as Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Boxercise, Self Defence, etc.

All coaches must have (or be willing to obtain) a current Working with Children check. Coaching experience is preferred but not necessary; however, good knowledge and playing experience of the sport are required.

Schedule

Positions available include morning (6.30AM - 9AM), in-school hours (9AM - 3PM), and after-school (3PM - 5PM). Both midweek and weekend work are available, including programs during school holidays.

We are seeking sports coaches to join our team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Martial Arts coaching or competing experience
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) – paid, relevant to your state or territory
  • Child Protection Training (preferred)
  • First Aid + CPR Training (preferred)

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Martial Arts coaching
  • Attend and conduct all training sessions
  • Be reliable and organized

Additional Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of standard coaching practices
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative relationships and communicate effectively with students, staff, administrators, and parents/guardians
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality as needed
  • Ability to communicate with a culturally diverse community
