About The Role

We are seeking a Manager Business Performance & Analytics to lead our skilled team of data specialists and oversee business performance reporting and analytics for Perth Children's Hospital and Neonatology. You will play a key role in ensuring our critical services are informed by timely, accurate data, and support leaders in leveraging analytics to identify performance risks and align with system-wide policy and governance.

Reporting To The Director, Business Intelligence, You Will Lead a Small, Talented Team, Managing Both Service Delivery And Business-as-usual Functions. You Will Also Contribute Significantly To The Business Intelligence Unit's (BIU) Maturity Journey And Several Strategic Initiatives Focused On Transforming How Care Is Delivered, Including

• Leading the data workstream for Perth Children's Hospital and Neonatology to enhance visibility of service demand and operational capacity.
• Overseeing clinical health service reporting.
• Supporting change management related to the implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and related performance improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to the rollout of Jira software, to enhance project visibility, support strategic prioritisation, and optimise resource allocation.
• Supporting improvements in WebPAS data management.
• Collaborating on the co-design of integrated state-wide data sources and playing a key role in WA Health's transition to near real time data feeds.
  
  

Your ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders, clinicians, and external stakeholders will be key in developing innovative solutions and achieving shared goals.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Developing, implementing, and managing robust performance monitoring systems aligned with CAHS strategic objectives.
• Leading strategic analytics and business intelligence initiatives across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning, mentoring your team to deliver high-quality reporting, insights, and expert advice across business and technical domains.
• Collaborating across health services, including with the Department of Health's analytics and economic modelling teams, to share insights and drive innovation.
• Leading continuous improvement efforts within the BIU, supporting business process enhancements and systems-based initiatives.
  
  

If you have experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder data projects, and a passion for data-driven performance and service improvement – we encourage you to apply. Prior experience in the health sector, or public sector is well regarded but not required.

About Our Team

The Business Intelligence Unit offer a comprehensive reporting service for the whole of CAHS, including Perth Children's Hospital and Neonatology (PCHN), the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and our community based services (CACH).

Our team of analysts work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance quality and operational performance outcomes. Through in-depth data analysis, we offer valuable insights for informed decision-making, strategic planning, and benchmarking in areas such as workforce, performance, safety and quality, clinical, outpatient, allied health and surgical services, as well as finance and activity-based funding and costing.
