About the Opportunity: Conveniently situated just 20 minutes south of the Mackay City Gates, this location offers the perfect balance—far enough to escape the hustle and bustle of one of Australia's fastest-growing regional cities, yet close enough for an easy trip when needed. Located in a rural town and coastal locality in the Mackay Region, this clinic is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join their team and meet the growing demand for patient care. Following the departure of a full-time GP last year, the practice is currently booked out two weeks in advance, offering an excellent opportunity for a new doctor to step into a busy and rewarding role.

About the Practice

Team Composition : Work alongside 3 experienced GPs and a supportive Principal.

Billing Structure : Bulk billing with a mixed billing approach, offering 15-minute appointment times for quality care.

Earnings : 65% of billings for General Registration, increasing to 70% with Fellowship. Initial Guarantee: For the first 12 weeks.

Support Staff : Enjoy the assistance of 2 Registered Nurses and 1 Enrolled Endorsed Nurse. Our nursing team handles vaccinations, wound care, procedural support, ECGs, and spirometry, allowing you to focus on patient care.

Mentorship and Supervision : The Practice Principal, a Senior Lecturer with James Cook University, has a strong track record in training and mentoring. He currently supervises 2 GPs working towards Fellowship and is available to mentor incoming doctors participating in the FSP program.

Essential Criteria :

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Must have a current and valid AHPRA GENERAL / SPECIALIST registration
  • Must be committed to building a clientele and retaining patients
  • Comfortable with all aspects of GP work
