Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reporting and ensure reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner
  • Areas of focus are:
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including accounts receivables, accounts payables, unearned revenue, expense accruals, income accruals, intercompany charges and eliminations
  • Fixed asset register
  • Annual statutory financial statements and half-year management accounts
  • Covenant reporting as required in relation to the external financing line
  • Assist in tax compliance (BAS, FBT, Income tax, etc) and preparing position papers to conform with AASBs
  • Prepare fortnightly payroll and assist in all queries payroll related. This also includes any ad-hoc reporting required, including ABS surveys.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and systems enhancement initiatives, including OCR technology, Blackline, etc
  • Be the key liaison with auditors
  • Demonstrating quality workplace practices consistent with Altogether's quality policies and procedures.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years post CA/CPA qualification
  • Relevant experience working in public practice in a top 4 or mid-tier firm, and commercial experience
  • Experience in implementing systems enhancements, such as OCR technology
  • Experience working in utility, infrastructure, construction, or property development industries (highly desirable)
