Your role

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Senior Geologist and engaging in a structured program with exposure to multiple core geology experiences.
  • Collecting and recording accurate geological and geochemical data in accordance with company procedures, with a basic understanding of QA/QC concepts.
  • Processing, logging, and sampling core.
  • Conducting geological mapping exercises, observing, measuring, and documenting geological features.
  • Producing regular production reports documenting monthly reconciliation performances, referencing relevant geological or other pertinent factors.
About you

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification in Geology.
  • Strong computer literacy skills and excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
  • A current and valid Manual Driver's Licence.
  • A National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months.
  • The ability to pass Westgold's pre-employment process, including medical and drug and alcohol screening, right to work checks, and provision of a valid Australian national police clearance and Australian driver's licence (or ability to obtain).
