Graduate Mine Geologist role at Vault Minerals, Darlot Gold Mine, offers hands-on technical experience, FIFO roster, and career growth in a dynamic, expanding gold mining company.

Your role

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with underground mapping and sampling to minimise ore loss and dilution and increase geological understanding of the deposit
  • Completing stope and airleg inspections
  • Learning to provide mining direction to ensure optimal ore position for stoping
  • Ensuring all data captured is recorded accurately
  • Assisting in entry of production data and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Liaising with Mine Geologists to assist with ROM ore stockpile management to optimise the blend into the Process Plant
  • Reporting daily grade control activities
  • Undertaking diamond core processing, including logging, mark-up and orientation, sampling, and other related measurements
  • Working closely with experienced professionals to build a strong industry foundation and gain exposure to a broad range of technical and practical tasks
About you

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology (essential)
  • Current C-class WA driver's licence
  • Ability to observe safety rules and regulations
  • Good physical health
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a small and autonomous team
  • Effective communication skills with staff at all levels
  • Vacation work experience within the mining industry, ideally within gold mining, is highly regarded
  • Full Australian work rights
