Overview

Dubbo, New South Wales – Contract

Join Dubbo Regional Council as an Assistant Gardener in the Greenspace Operations branch and develop your skills and future career. You will play a vital role in contributing to maintaining and improving horticultural and open spaces across Dubbo NSW, with the opportunity to operate council machinery. The position supports a growing regional impact for 55,000 residents and up to 1.65 million visitors each year. A supportive team environment helps you balance career and life outside work.

Responsibilities
  • Provide beneficial and cost efficient horticultural and grass maintenance services
  • Ensure the implementation of Council\'s asset maintenance policy and related procedures and documentation
  • Undertake other horticultural maintenance and construction tasks as required
What You\'ll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in operating horticultural related large and small plant such as tractors, slashers, whipper snippers, chainsaws, edgers, and water trucks
  • Demonstrated ability to work constructively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in undertaking other horticultural related tasks with minimal supervision or unsupervised
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to manage workplace safety when undertaking horticultural related activities
  • Class MR Drivers Licence
  • AQF 3 Chemical Handling accreditation (Desirable)
Salary and Application

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $59,561 to $69,219.
