As a Gardener, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our parks and gardens across Dubbo and surrounding villages. With your physical fitness, safety focus and love for the outdoors you'll have the opportunity to operate Council machinery and provide high quality horticultural services for the region and community where you live. Use your initiative and eye for detail to contribute to beautiful green spaces and natural environments for all to enjoy. With the flexibility of a nine-day fortnight you'll achieve a better work life balance, combined with role stability in a position that allows you to pursue your passion for horticulture. As a reliable, trustworthy team member, you'll work within a supportive team where your career and life outside work matters.

You'll work with a great team to:

• Provide horticultural services and installation services in accordance with agreed briefs and service frequency plans
• Respond to public enquiries and requests
  Inspect recreation open space assets for compliance with current maintenance service level specifications

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Certificate III Horticulture or related field
• Experience in maintaining high profile horticulture assets
• Experience in leading small teams
• Class MR Drivers Licence

We would also love you to have:

• AQF 3 Chemical Handling accreditation
• Traffic Control accreditation
  MR licence

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $67,787 - $78,778
