Overview

Matrix Education is now hiring Maths Teachers to join us at our campuses in Chatswood, Epping, Castle Hill, Hurstville, Strathfield or Parramatta.

This role is ideal for someone who is a subject matter expert who can explain concepts clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise. Our team is a diverse group of high school teachers, corporate professionals, educational outreach staff, university teaching staff and post graduate university students.

Classes commence at 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our campuses, all within 3 minutes walk from major railway (or Metro) stations.

You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.

Start Date - Immediate for training
• Regular weekly hours
• $60 - $80/hour + superannuation

Locations – Parramatta, Strathfield, Chatswood, Epping, Hurstville, Castle Hill.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you).
  • Ongoing monitoring of student's academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes.
  • Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.
Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for teaching.
  • Previous experience teaching secondary Maths in a classroom setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5, and 6 Maths.
  • Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
