A vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Orderly to join our team at Ringwood Private Hospital.
As an Orderly, your responsibilities will include:
- Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients.
- Working as an active team member to support all work tasks.
- Providing exceptional customer/patient service by safely transporting/lifting patients, communicating with clarity and empathy, collecting and delivering equipment and consumables between departments/wards, and restocking supplies.
- Prioritising patient safety by ensuring patient transportation equipment (including wheelchairs, portable oxygen, and suction) is safe and in good working order, and being an active member of the emergency response team.
- Acting as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture and liaising with the emergency response team, nursing team, and other staff to create a positive experience.
- Demonstrating professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct, and mandatory education.
- Maintaining skills and standards of customer service and ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.

Minimum requirements include:
- Experience in a hospital environment
- Ability to prioritise and organise work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service, organisational, and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and in a busy, high-workload environment
- Adherence to workplace policies and procedures
- Flexibility, reliability, and ability to work under pressure
- Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent (desired)
