Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of others? We are seeking enthusiastic Aged Care Personal Carers to join our growing team in the Gympie and surrounding area

About the Role :

As an Aged Care Personal Carer, you will provide vital support to our clients, empowering them to live more independently and achieve their personal goals. This is a highly rewarding role where you will assist with a variety of daily living activities, fostering dignity, respect, and a person-centred approach. We cover areas in Gympie, Southside, Tin Can Bay, Cooloola Cove & other surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities May Include :

  1. Assisting with personal hygiene (showering, dressing, grooming)
  2. Support with toileting and continence management
  3. Assistance with meal preparation and eating
  4. Light household tasks (e.g., laundry, tidying)
  5. Supporting mobility and transfers, including use of aids and equipment
  6. Medication reminders and administration (where qualified)
  7. Facilitating community participation and social inclusion (e.g., attending appointments, social outings)
  8. Providing emotional support and companionship
  9. Maintaining clear and accurate records
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care / Disability is essential

Current Australian Business Number (ABN): You must be operating as an independent contractor. (We can help you get one easily enough).

Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport (essential for community access).

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

A current Police Check and Working with Children check is essential.

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance: Essential for working with NDIS participants. (Information on obtaining this can be found on the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission website).

Yellow & Blue cards essential for NDIS

Public Liability Insurance: Necessary for all independent contractors

Reliability and professionalism: Punctual, organised, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Able to build rapport and communicate effectively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.

Patience and adaptability: Able to adjust to individual needs and situations.

Respect for privacy and dignity: Upholding the rights and choices of our clients.

Genuine empathy and compassion: A true desire to support clients with disabilities.
