The Opportunity
As a Construction Contracts, Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in managing complex, high-impact government projects across road, rail, marine transport, and building sectors. In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Drive Project Excellence: Lead the successful delivery of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration of scope, risk, time, cost, quality, communication, and procurement requirements.
  • Master Contract Administration: Oversee major civil works projects, including site surveillance, managing variations, claims, and progress payments, as well as preparing comprehensive contract documentation and conducting tender evaluations.
  • Inspire and Lead Teams: Manage and mentor a talented team of staff and consultants, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Be the Superintendent's Representative: Take on the critical responsibilities of a Superintendent's Representative or equivalent, ensuring contract and project alignment with technical and strategic goals.

Requirements
A degree level qualification in Engineering (Civil) providing eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia is required.

A current driver's licence is essential.

Special Conditions
A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.

The incumbent may be required to work anywhere within the state and stay away overnight for prolonged periods.

The incumbent may be required to work outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends.
