About the role

We are looking for a motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our team here at MCC Melbourne. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting end-to end varied procurement processes and contracting activities for our Melbourne plant.

In this exciting and varied role, you will:

  • Manage supplier relationships and material supply programs.
  • Support ANZ Regional Procurement with data management, analysis, supplier tenders, and cost reduction activities.
  • Oversee supply forecasting, quality processes, and negotiate supplier contracts.
  • Maintain data on raw material costs, exchange rates, and local contracts (e.g., cleaning, pest control, freight).
  • Contribute to project pipeline savings.
  • Provide R&D with information on new products and opportunities.
  • Authorize invoices and ensure correct pricing.
  • Support continual improvement in operations.
  • Ensure safe work practices and address safety concerns in the supply chain.
  • Perform other duties as required.
About you
  • Prior experience in Procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • High level of planning, sourcing, negotiation, tendering and contract management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in undertaking multiple procurement activities from start to finish.
  • High level of maturity and credibility to influence others and build/maintain strong internal and external relationships.
