What You'll Be Doing

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Catering Manager to lead our hospitality operations at AAMI Park in Melbourne.
Melbourne's iconic rectangular venue is nestled in the heart of the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Precinct. The stadium is home to Melbourne Storm, Melbourne City FC and Melbourne Victory FC and beyond sports, AAMI Park delivers in live entertainment too, hosting global acts with unforgettable performances.

As our Catering Manager, you'll take full ownership of end-to-end catering operations including, but not limited to, public catering, corporate hospitality, and non-event day services. You'll lead a high-performing team, optimise financial outcomes, and ensure every guest experience is nothing short of exceptional.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic & Financial Leadership: Align catering operations with business goals, manage budgets, and drive profitability.

Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards in food safety, quality, and service while ensuring compliance with our Integrated Management System (IMS).

Team Development: Lead, train, and inspire a diverse team to deliver top-tier service and grow within the business.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with venue partners and event stakeholders to plan and execute seamless events.

Sales & Cost Control: Drive non-event day sales, manage stock and overheads, and keep operations within budget.

Labour & Resource Management: Oversee staffing plans, subcontractor coordination, and support broader catering operations as needed.

What You'll Bring to the Table

Proven experience in catering management, ideally in stadiums, large-scale events, or high-volume venues

Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience

Deep understanding of food safety including HACCP principles

Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.

Proficiency in inventory, labour forecasting, and budget control

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing event requirements.
