Area Manager

We are proud to introduce an exciting opportunity within Global Retail Brands, Australia's premier specialty homewares retailer, boasting a vast network of 300 stores nationwide. We are actively seeking an Area Manager to join our retail operations team focused on leading our Melbourne Metro team

This is a key senior management role for the business, responsible for maximizing sales and driving effective retail operations for our Melbourne region.

Reporting to the State Manager, the Area Manager plays a critical role across our Victorian Retail Operations team and will require a candidate with drive, dedication, commitment, and business acumen, to manage and support the company's business goals for our portfolio of stores.

Key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Lead and support in-store teams across a network of up to 12 stores, fostering teamwork and excellence
• Drive sales projections and KPIs to exceed company profitability targets while maintaining optimal wage percentage goals
• Oversee stocktakes with precision to ensure accurate inventory management
• Develop people and enhance visual merchandising strategies to drive business profitability within your area
• Maintain consistent appearance standards and ensure compliance with policies and procedures across all stores
• Spearhead recruitment, training, and development efforts to cultivate high-performing store teams

About you:

• Minimum 3 years managing a multi-site environment
• Extensive retail management experience in a multi-site retailer
• Excellent communication, analytical and strong leadership skills
• Highly motivated and results focused
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Proven experience in the successful management and development of people.
• Developed PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Tertiary qualifications in a retail or business discipline is desirable, not essential
