Our client, Berry Howe Industries Pty Ltd, designs and manufactures high-quality truck bodies, specialist machinery, and precision machined parts for their customers.

The Truck Mechanic is responsible for serving and repairing vehicles according to repair order instructions within the service department. The role involves promoting customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards and overseeing the work of any apprentice technicians assigned.

The Job
  • Perform work as per the repair order instructions
  • Advise of any additional work required to the workshop
  • Document all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommend any work not carried out during service and repair
  • Ensure customer vehicles are returned in good condition, including cleanliness and adjustments to seats, radio, Bluetooth, and mirrors
  • Supervise any assigned apprentices
  • Operate all tools and equipment safely, report safety issues immediately
  • Coordinate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Attend dealership and service department meetings and online training as requested
  • Maintain a neat workshop area and account for all dealership tools

  • Trade Certificate

  • Strong attention to detail, both written and practical
