About the Role
We are hiring an IT Events Administrator to deliver excellence within our ticketing division. Based in New South Wales, you will be the technical backbone behind Australia's most spectacular events, ensuring seamless IT operations that keep thousands of fans connected to unforgettable experiences.
This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with 3+ years' experience, who thrives outside traditional office environments. You will master Windows servers, access control technologies, and data services, supported by comprehensive training and client services partnerships.
What does a day in the life look like?
- Provide best-in-class on-site IT support at Ticketek events
- Install points of sale (PCs, BOCA printers, EFTPOS) at venues, client sites, and temporary events
- Administer and maintain ticketing IT infrastructure and access control systems at client venues
- Coordinate installation, support, and maintenance of IT equipment such as servers, switches, WAPs
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and infrastructure
- Document network and device configuration changes in diagrams or databases
- Respond to support calls and record fault resolution details in the service desk system
About you :
- At least 3 years' experience in Windows Desktop administration or similar technician/support roles
- Ability to manage pressure situations effectively
- Strong technical query resolution skills and knowing when to escalate
- Proactive approach in ticketing and problem-solving platforms
- Experience working in live event environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Current full Australian driver's license
Desirable experience and skills :
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Server 2016 or higher
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL 2017 or higher
- Cisco networking qualifications and experience
- Broad network and server experience (LAN/WAN)
- Knowledge of patron access control solutions
Other considerations :
- Work outside of business hours and on weekends is required
- Ability to lift/carry more than 5kg occasionally
- Extended periods on your feet at events
- Some local and regional travel for installations and support
