An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Risk & Compliance professional to join a fast-growing, dynamic financial services business. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in developing and embedding a robust risk and compliance framework, working closely with senior leadership to drive strong governance and risk culture across the organisation.

The Opportunity

As the Risk Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening the organisation's risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring regulatory obligations are met while supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals. This role will suit a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across various business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee key risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Contribute to Board and management risk reporting, including developing meaningful risk metrics.
  • Execute comprehensive second-line control assurance activities, testing key controls.
  • Support the oversight and development of business continuity and contingency planning.
  • Provide oversight of key projects and change management initiatives.
  • Partner with business units to provide high-quality risk advice, training, and support.
  • Drive a strong risk culture and engagement across the organisation.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, information security, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in risk and/or compliance, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment within financial services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
