We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Executive Manager, Strategy and Risk to lead and drive the delivery of corporate governance services within the Courts and Tribunals Queensland division.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with experience in risk management, corporate planning, and business continuity, who will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the division through the establishment of effective governance frameworks and strategic planning processes.

You will lead a small team responsible for delivering best practice governance services, risk management, and strategic reporting. You will work closely with senior executives to provide high-level strategic advice, ensuring that governance frameworks are aligned with departmental practices and meet the needs of the business.

About the role

  • Lead the establishment and implementation of a corporate governance maturity uplift.
  • Provide strategic governance advice and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain business and operational planning, risk management, and business continuity frameworks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide effective advisory services.
  • Coordinate cyclical reviews and ensure the delivery of high-quality reports, presentations, and briefs.
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements in service delivery.

Who we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in risk management, corporate planning, and business continuity within a complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence change, navigating ambiguity and setbacks.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to analyse data to provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, write reports, and provide high-quality briefings to senior leaders.
