Job Description
The role will include but not be limited to:
- Manage the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining adherence to deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to support financial planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial decision-making.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accounting Manager should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CA or CPA certification (or working towards).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software, with advanced Excel skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
