Role

Mechanic at Transdev John Holland Buses, responsible for the repair and maintenance of the bus fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Repairing, servicing, and maintaining buses to meet regulatory standards
  • Road testing vehicles as required
  • Attending breakdowns on and off-site
  • Identifying and repairing vehicle defects
Qualifications
  • Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential) + TAFE Cert III Heavy Vehicle Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Current HR drivers license (or ability to obtain)
  • Computer literacy for accurate maintenance record keeping
  • Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants
  • Experience with scan tools (desirable)
  • Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable)

Hours of Work & Locations

Hours: After an initial training period on day shift, you will commence a 2-week rotating roster which includes work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Day shift: 6am-2.30pm

Mid shift: 10.30am-7pm (15% shift allowance payable for the entire shift)

Afternoon shift: 2.30pm-11pm (15% shift allowance payable for the entire shift)

Locations: Vacancies at Waverley and Randwick depots (Bondi Junction and Light Rail access nearby).
