Role Description/Criteria
St John's Catholic Parish Primary School, Heidelberg is a thriving, innovative, and student-centred learning community.
We are deeply committed to the safety, wellbeing, inclusion, and protection of all children in our care.
Our students are engaged, curious, and respectful learners.
The school currently has an enrolment of 343 students.
The successful applicant will:

Actively support the values and ethos of Catholic education.
Create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with St John's curriculum policies, documents and practices.
Differentiate learning according to students' needs and abilities, and implement effective assessment practices and high-quality teaching programs.
Demonstrate experience in NCCD requirements and school structures that support the gathering of NCCD data.
Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Use data effectively to inform teaching and learning practices.
Work collaboratively, building genuine relationships in a team environment.
Build positive and supportive relationships with students and parents.
Show initiative and a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of MACS' Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement, and apply teaching pedagogy and practices that support differentiated and personalised learning.
Receive and act upon feedback in a professional manner.
Uphold the St John's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct.
Co ordinate PSG meeting and Liasie with outside agencies

The successful applicant will have:

Current VIT registration.
A current First Aid Certificate (or a willingness to complete one).
A demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and have had previous leadership experince.
Accreditation to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools.
Additional qualifications in Learning Diversity or Wellbeing (desirable).
