
Welfare and Learning Needs Specialist

The School Welfare Professional plays a pivotal role in the lives of students, teachers and our school community. This position is crucial to our Inclusion Team and Wellbeing team, working closely with key staff to ensure that appropriate supports for the welfare and learning needs of our students are in place.
This School Welfare Professional reports to the key stakeholders in the college including the Disability and Inclusion Leader, the Wellbeing Leader, Sub-school leaders and principals. The professional will liaise with key staff to ensure effective identification of additional learning needs and to support the welfare of students.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Inclusion Team and Wellbeing team to develop and implement strategies for supporting student welfare.
- Collaborate with key staff to identify and address the learning needs of students.
- Provide guidance and support to students, teachers and parents on matters related to student welfare.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and services to ensure seamless support for students.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to student welfare.

Qualifications: A relevant degree or qualification in a field such as psychology, education or social work is essential for this role. You will also need to have a valid driver's license and be willing to undergo a police check.
