What you'll be doing The Allied Health Workforce Manager is responsible for directing workforce planning for the 23 Allied Health professions within the district, ensuring alignment with WSLHD's strategic goals.
You will be at the forefront of managing capacity, capability, and resources, collaborating with leadership teams to respond to workforce demands and oversee key clinical teams and the Allied Health Casual Pool.
An exciting opportunity as this position will also support district wide initiatives and projects in workforce governance and redesign.
In this role you will be : Planning and coordinating workforce initiatives across 23 allied health professions.
Assessing capability and the capacity which will need to align with strategic objectives.
Partnering with the District Director and Executive to anticipate workforce changes.
Managing staffing, resources, and governance of district-wide clinical teams.
Overseeing Allied Health Casual Pool and Rapid Assessment Intervention teams.

Essential Criteria Qualification: Relevant allied health tertiary qualifications and/or professionals registration with AHPRA as required by the Health Professionals State Award.
Registration in line with Award requirements: As required by the Health Professionals State Award Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications as an allied health professional including relevant professional registration (where required by AHPRA) in addition to post graduate qualifications in health management, project management or related field and/or demonstrated equivalent related experience.
Previous extensive clinical experience as an allied health professional and extensive working knowledge and relevant experience working with allied health services and clinical teams.
Demonstrated understanding of the complexities and current workforce challenges facing the diversity of the 23 allied health professions and their impact of the operations of NSW Health allied health clinical services.
Demonstrated skill and extensive experience in project management, program management and change management and in planning and leading project teams undertaking planning and/or redesign initiatives Extensive experience in making complex judgements in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams, meeting deadlines and prioritising multiple demands with a focus on negotiation and organisational attributes with highly developed critical thinking and decision making skills.
Ability to research, undertake and prepare written reports and review of new and existing business processes including the ability to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPI).
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare high level report and papers for publication as well as sound negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products - ability to trend and interpret complex information and data rapidly and accurately.
