About the Role This role manages the Cyber Security team within the Risk Advisory Service Line based in Sydney.
The team provides core cyber services in governance, risk, compliance, and cyber awareness training.
This client-facing role requires a strong technical and leadership background and involves delivering Cyber Security projects.
You will foster a culture valuing quality and risk management and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service outcomes for clients.
What you'll be doing : Lead the delivery of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) projects.
Grow the Cyber security capability and services, including security strategy, architecture, and roadmaps.
Conduct cyber security health checks against standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and ACSC Essential 8.
Provide compliance advisory for NSW Cyber Security Policy and APRA CPS 234.
Represent Australia within the BDO Global Security community.
Support Partners with client business development, proposals, and engagement letters.
Supervise and deliver complex cyber services for Partner sign-off.
Challenge the status quo for improvements within your scope.
Build team performance and support development opportunities for team members.
Assist Partners in team management.

Is active in the cyber security industry to stay updated on trends.
Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
