Existing experience in a number of the following areas will be viewed favourably: statutory interpretation, ICAC, Safe Work, public interest disclosure, privacy and GIPA, or other regulatory compliance.
This is not essential where you can demonstrate an ability to proactively and rapidly acquire the required knowledge.The Role Willwork closely with other senior lawyers as well as autonomously to guide legal strategy and policy; undertake administrative activities and research allocated within established standards, procedures, policies and delegations; assist with a wide range of civil, anti discrimination and commercial related requests for advice, as well as with claims, disputes and agreements for CSNSW; work closely with DCJ to review, prepare and negotiate a wide range of agreements and advise on a diverse range of matters; coordinate sensitive legal communications with precision, ensuring confidentiality and high standards of accuracy across all documentation; support the progression of briefing notes and related materials; and provide complex advice on CSNSW operations, including on regulatory and strategic matters.

The role reports directly to the team's Director, who is experienced and approachable.
