Reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, the Technical Services & Reliability Engineer is responsible for liaising with OEMs and Part 21 organisations on behalf of the Operator for specialist support.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, with availability after hours for urgent operational matters.
Responsibilities include: Liaising with OEMs, Part 21 organisations, and others for specialist engineering services, technical dispositions, engineering orders, and repairs.
Providing timely reports to the AMO regarding issues influenced by specialist input.
Preparing and distributing monthly reliability and ECTM reports to all stakeholders, analyzing trends, and developing solutions.
Preparing quarterly reliability reports for CASA.
Investigating and reporting defects via CASA DSR system, including follow-up actions and recommendations.
Liaising with CASA for incident reporting.
Assisting with AD and SB assessments through research and the MRP process.
Supporting Airworthiness Review staff in obtaining and analyzing information for ARC issuance.
Providing backup to other CAMO staff as needed.
Performing quality checks on data and paperwork from the AMO.
Reporting to the CAM on matters related to CAMO responsibilities.
Assessing Mandatory ICA such as SBs and ADs, and Non-mandatory ICA in consultation with the MRP.
Monitoring and overseeing activities related to the Reliability Program.
Participating in aircraft and engine evaluations during fleet acquisition and transition.
Analyzing ECTM and system performances to recommend technical solutions.
Providing maintenance technical support via web-based research and liaising with manufacturers, vendors, and regulators.
Performing other duties as directed by the CAM, within the incumbent's abilities, training, and experience.
Candidate requirements: Formal aviation-related engineering tertiary qualifications or trade licenses, or experience as LAME.
Knowledge of Reliability Systems and/or statistical analysis.
Ability to research and prepare reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding of statutory and CASA regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with CMMS software and relational databases (e.g., Envision, IAS, TRAX, Winair).
