About Our School St Brendan's is a co-educational Catholic Primary School providing educational excellence for students from Prep to Year Six.

Summary Ignite a passion for learning in our students, while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic EducationLocation: St Brendan's School, Moorooka Start date: 23 April 2025 Work hours: 30 hours/week Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)Status: Fixed-term (Remainder of 2025 & 2026 School Year contract)Ad close date: 21 September 2025 Contact: Sharelle Simpson | sharelle.simpson@bne.catholic.edu.au About The Opportunity In this position you will be responsible for: Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community Oversee the development of Personalised Support Plans which clearly outline adjustment requirements in language discernible by teachers, and comply with all evidence requirements for NCCD timelines.

Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

About You To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development Proven experience in teaching Year 1 and Year 2 curriculums is highly desirable Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
