RSPCA NSW is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and our state-wide shelter network, with approximately 500 staff across NSW to care for animals.
We are seeking to recruit a full-time Veterinary Nurse to provide medical support to veterinarians and ensure high standards of animals' wellbeing and care are maintained for animals in the care of RSPCA NSW.
This role requires working on a seven-day rotating roster between 7 am – 8 pm, including alternating weekends and occasional public holidays.

About the Role: Administer medications accurately Monitor animals for injury, illness, and behavioural issues Assist in veterinary examinations and perform medical and surgical procedures as required Prepare and assist with medical procedures, including X-rays Perform nursing routines such as fluid therapy, blood sampling, and pre-operation preparations Provide environmental enrichment and exercise for animals Assist with surgical nursing routines, including dental procedures, sterilisation, and anesthesia Conduct lab tests and maintain equipment like Idexx and white goods Maintain high standards of cleanliness and disease control About You Certificate IV in Vet Nursing or relevant qualification Previous experience as a Vet Nurse Thorough knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Benefits and Perks40% Royal Canin Discount for your pets Access to Converge Employee, Volunteer Assistance Program (EVAP)Paid Community Service leave with SES or Rural Fire Service Animal Compassionate Leave Training and education opportunities, and leave Pathways to RTO courses Apply Now If this role excites you, click 'APPLY' to submit your resume.
