About the role
We are currently looking for candidates with skills and expertise in laboratory operations to plan, develop, and deliver high-quality training and assessments to students in this field.
Aligning with relevant curriculum and training package requirements, as a Lecturer, your primary responsibilities will include;

Teaching
Facilitating learning
Assessing student progress
Providing mentorship

Additionally, you will engage in professional activities and delivery-related tasks to ensure excellence in education.
To maintain the highest standards, Lecturers are expected to stay current with the latest technological advancements and industry trends through ongoing professional development.
This enables you to offer up-to-date insights and guidance to both the College and the industry when needed.

Relevant Qualification and Experience To be eligible for employment, you must hold one of the following qualifications:

A tertiary qualification in a science discipline (e.g.
Chemistry, Microbiology, or Medical Science or equivalent).
MSL50122 Diploma of Laboratory Technology; or
MSL50118 Diploma of Laboratory Technology, accompanied by current and relevant laboratory experience.

NM TAFE prefers lecturers to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or TAE40110, along with the additional skill sets outlined in Schedule 1, Item 2 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
Applicants who have yet to obtain the required VET credentials are still welcome to apply.
However, successful candidates will need to be enrolled in and actively progressing through an approved training and assessment qualification, either the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma from the TAE Training Package.
NM TAFE requires candidates to demonstrate satisfactory progress toward completion within two years of commencement.

If you are successful, during the life of the pool you may be offered appointment to similar & subsequent vacancies within the College, within other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to your permission being granted).
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance.
If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
