Professional Growth – Step into a leadership role with career development opportunities Stability & Legacy – Bundarra Contracting has proudly serviced the WA mining industry for 20+ years About the Role We're seeking an experienced Project 2 IC / Site Supervisor to support our Main Project Manager and lead day-to-day operations across our mining projects in the Goldfields.
This dual role requires someone who can balance strategic project leadership with hands-on site supervision , ensuring safe and efficient raw ore material movement to the crusher while managing a tight-knit crew onsite.
On alternate swings , you'll step into the Project 2 IC role , overseeing planning, scheduling, stakeholder reporting, engagement, and onsite support.
On-site , you'll lead by example, guiding up to 20 personnel across a variety of operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Scheduling – Develop and manage detailed project plans for ore movement and site works Resource & Crew Management – Allocate machinery, equipment, and manpower effectively across daily operations Operational Oversight – Supervise activities including water cart dust suppression, road maintenance, loader / excavator operations, and ancillary services Safety Leadership – Enforce strict OH&S / WHS protocols, ensuring compliance with Australian mining standards Budget & Reporting – Assist with budget control, cost tracking, and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders Problem-Solving – Address logistical, mechanical, and operational issues quickly to maintain workflow About You5+ years' experience (minimum) across mine site operations and / or raw ore material movement2–3 years' experience as a supervisor within civil works or mining operations Strong leadership skills with experience supervising multi-skilled teams and contractors Ability to step up as a 2 IC , covering the Project Manager on alternate swing Practical knowledge of safety compliance and environmental standards within Australian mining Strong computer skills, with sound understanding of Microsoft Office (highly desirable – Excel, Word, One Drive, Teams)Excellent communication and coordination skills across crews, contractors, and upper management Qualifications in Mining / Civil Engineering, Project Management , or related field (desirable, but solid experience highly valued)Current S26 Certificate , or working towards S26 Certificate Self-motivated, honest, and reliable with a strong work ethic What's On Offer FIFO from Perth or DIDO – Goldfields Region New camp with modern facilities Opportunity to develop into full Project Manager responsibilities Work with a long-standing contractor respected across WA mining Ready to Apply?If you're ready to balance project leadership with boots-on-the-ground supervision and want a role that values both career growth and family time, we'd love to hear from you.
