What you'll do This role interacts with senior leadership teams, regional HR functions, clients, and community organisations to ensure our DEI initiatives are impactful and aligned with operational needs and company goals.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and improvement of a global DEI strategy aligned with corporate objectives, ESG goals, and client expectations.
Develop, track, and evaluate DEI metrics, informing programs and reporting impact.
Conduct global trend analysis and benchmarking to stay aligned with best practices.
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including the Workplace Gender Equality Agency and Disability Inclusion Acts.
Advise on policies to reflect leading DEI practices.
Partner with regional teams to create regionally relevant DEI action plans with measurable outcomes.
Support programs such as inclusive recruitment, employee resource groups, and leadership development with a DEI focus.
Lead initiatives to improve workforce diversity, including gender equity and Indigenous employment.
Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, embedding DEI principles in workforce planning and operations.
Engage with stakeholders, including industry bodies and community organizations, to drive positive change.
What You'll Need to Succeed We seek a professional with a tertiary degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or related field, and 7+ years of leadership experience in DEI.
Candidates should have expertise in cultural safety, gender equity, Indigenous engagement, and inclusive practices.
Experience designing and implementing global DEI strategies is essential.
Exposure to operational and corporate environments, especially within industries like mining, construction, or engineering, is highly regarded.
Valuable skills include understanding DEI frameworks and trends, project management, data analysis, and reporting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, stakeholder influence, and the ability to manage ambiguity are crucial.
The ideal candidate will also have a track record of building professional networks and fostering long-term relationships.
