What We're Offering We are a child-safe organisation Pathways to grow your career About The Role To provide strategic and high-quality policy development, analysis and advice that supports effective decision making that is informed by relevant legislation, departmental and whole-of-government directions and national initiatives, particularly as it relates to the safeguarding of children and young people.
Period of Appointment ASAP for 2 years Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.
Hours per fortnight73.5 hours per fortnight Essential Requirements Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
The following checks are to be conducted: 1.
Conviction checks in the following areas:crimes of violencesex related offencesserious drug offencescrimes involving dishonestyserious traffic offences Identification check Disciplinary actions in previous employment check Desirable Requirements Experience in the review and development of legislation.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
A current driver's licence.
