Job Description:

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support our diverse, casual and permanent workforce across multiple sites. You will be part of a collaborative finance and HR team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while contributing to process improvements and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process a monthly payroll of approximately 400 employees.
  • Ensure accurate payment of wages, superannuation and government taxes.
  • Manage any payroll-related queries coming from staff to head office.
  • Process, reconcile and clear month-end figures.
  • Calculate annual leave and sick leave provisions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, including year-end.

The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience processing Australian payroll from end to end.
  • Experience working on projects within the payroll function.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge.
  • A strong understanding of different EBAs and Awards.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously as required but also have a cohesive attitude towards the team.
