My Help Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Officer to join their team.
In this vital role, you will provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for residents in our care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support: Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility, as needed.
Foster a positive and safe environment: Ensure the residential setting is clean, organized, and secure, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Support personal development: Encourage and assist residents in developing life skills, engaging in educational activities, and participating in recreational pursuits.
Promote well-being: Monitor residents' physical and emotional health, identifying and reporting any concerns to the appropriate channels.
Develop and implement care plans: Work collaboratively with residents, their families, and other professionals to create and follow individualized care plans.
Manage challenging behaviors: Utilize de-escalation techniques and positive behavior support strategies to manage and resolve challenging behaviors effectively and safely.
Maintain accurate records: Document observations, incidents, and progress of residents in line with organizational policies and procedures.
Facilitate communication: Liaise effectively with residents, their families, external agencies, and internal staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Participate in training and development: Continuously enhance professional skills and knowledge through training programs and supervision.
Adhere to policies and procedures: Ensure full compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, including safeguarding and data protection.
Qualifications and Requirements: Certificate III in Individual Supports or IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent qualifications (highly regarded)Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a similar support role within the disability or aged care sector Experience working with people living with Mental Health disorders (highly regarded)Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle Ability to work independently without supervision Current First Aid and CPR certifications NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Current Police Check Strong interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of duty of care and person-centred approaches Job Details: Type: Full-time Pay: $76,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year Be The First To Know About the latest Clinical Support Team Leader Aged Care Assessments Jobs in MelbourneSet Email Alert: Job title Location What Locations Can I Find These Jobs In?
