The Opportunity We have an opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist (Marine Mammal Ecologist) to be part of our SA Research & Development Institute Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The primary purpose of the role is to assess, monitor and mitigate seafood and other marine industry interactions with marine protected species – particularly marine mammals, conduct population and ecological studies of marine protected species to inform conservation and management.
The role contributes to delivering the agency's priorities including 'sustaining the resource' by informing the sustainable management of natural resources that underpin primary industries production.
The role contributes to delivering high-quality science and research services to internal and external clients.

Opportunity up to 31 / 6 / 2026 Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week Requirements Possession of a current driver's licence and willingness to drive.

Remuneration PO3 - $101,285 min - $107,078 max per annum, plus superannuation
