Who are we looking for? A top tier law firm (the Client) is seeking an Environment & Planning Lawyer to support a strong pipeline of advisory and regulatory work across major infrastructure, renewables, and resources projects.
Based in Sydney with flexible hybrid arrangements, the role will see you advising on planning approvals, environmental impact assessments, land access and acquisition, and interactions with local, state and federal regulators.
The team advises on a broad spectrum of matters, including planning approvals, environmental compliance, contaminated land, compulsory acquisitions, and litigation in the NSW Land and Environment Court.
This is a strong opportunity for a mid-level lawyer looking to deepen their expertise in a specialist area, though strong candidates with adjacent experience in property, public law or environmental litigation will also be considered.
Key Requirements: Minimum 4 +years' post-admission experience, ideally in environment, planning or related regulatory matters Familiarity with NSW planning and environmental frameworks (or similar transferable experience) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset Experience advising government or major infrastructure clients will be highly regarded Ability to manage competing deadlines across complex matters with multiple stakeholders What sets us apart?
