Job Description We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our Urban Development team in Sydney.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful projects and advance your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities: Develop budgets and prepare fee proposals.
Oversee the UD design and drafting program.
Oversee civil design, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities.
Lead design coordination with architects, landscape architects, and engineers at project meetings.
Coordinate technical reviews and internal QA processes.
Take on project management, bid support, and leadership duties.
Set department goals and develop actionable implementation plans.
Enhance engineering application processes.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Chartered Engineer status with NER accreditation.15+ years' experience, preferably in civil design for buildings, urban development, land development, or brownfield projects.
Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
Understanding of brownfield projects, water environments, and water resource management.
Proficient in civil design software such as Auto CAD, 12 D, Drains, and Microsoft Project.
Experienced in QA processes and design reviews.
