You'll work closely with an experienced partner and a dynamic team of lawyers and paralegals on a nationally significant and high-profile matter involving the Commonwealth Government .This is a pivotal role involving direct client contact, strategic planning, and contribution to a large-scale legal effort.
While your main focus will be this Commonwealth matter, the wider team engages in a broad spectrum of disputes work, such as:Representing government regulators and corporate clients in investigations and civil penalty actions Managing judicial review proceedings for government departments Advising on Royal Commissions, procurement disputes, and internal investigations Handling regulatory enforcement matters for listed and private entities This position offers strong potential for leadership, mentorship, and career growth within a supportive national disputes practice.Key Requirements: Minimum 4-6 years' PAE, ideally operating at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level Commercial litigation background, ideally in a respected disputes practice Exposure to government or regulatory disputes and investigations is highly regarded Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills Proven ability to manage complex workflows and lead junior lawyers Comfortable managing client relationships across government and corporate sectors Eligibility to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance On Offer: Be part of a high-stakes government matter with national significance Work alongside senior litigators recognised for their legal expertise Opportunities to mentor junior team members and shape your leadership path Flexible working arrangements including hybrid schedules and study leave Health and well-being initiatives including EAP, flu shots , and active social events Award-winning workplace culture promoting diversity, gender equality , and pro bono service Firm-wide recognition and career advancement within a respected national platform If you are interested in applying for this role you can apply now through the link below.
