This is a strategic leadership role with high visibility, offering the opportunity to influence how safety and performance are communicated, governed, and improved across the business.
About the Role This 12-month contract position reports to the GM of HSEQ and leads a multidisciplinary team of six specialists.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering assurance frameworks, managing reporting to both internal and external stakeholders, and improving the way key safety and performance messages are communicated across the organisation.
This role is best suited to someone with strong project and change management skills, excellent communication capability, and a collaborative mindset.
A technical safety background is not as important as your ability to coordinate inputs, shape effective messaging, and deliver structured, performance-focused outputs.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development of internal campaigns and engagement strategies to improve awareness and participation in safety and risk programs Oversee enterprise-wide assurance activities, internal audits, dashboard reporting, and compliance tracking Provide clear, consistent reporting to executives, the board, and external stakeholders Guide the team in delivering best-practice food safety, crisis readiness, and security assurance functions Work closely with internal communications and marketing to ensure messaging is aligned, sharp, and relevant Continuously improve how the organisation engages with its workforce on safety and performance matters About You Proven experience in project management, change management, communications, or marketing, ideally within large or complex organisations Strong coordination skills - able to bring together diverse inputs and stakeholders to deliver structured outcomes Skilled in developing reports, presentations, dashboards, and internal messaging for executive and operational audiences Experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to manage communication across a wide audience including government and board-level executives Curious, confident, and proactive - comfortable learning new content areas (e.g., food safety) and asking the right questions What's on Offer Lead a high-impact, business-critical function with direct executive exposure Opportunity to shape performance culture and engagement in a meaningful way Apply Now If you're a strategic communicator and experienced leader ready to take on a unique, enterprise-level role - we'd love to hear from you.
